Roof conditions permitting, it's entirely feasible to use long-plank decking for a roof deck. The joist framing eliminates some benefits of modular deck tiles, but – if done right – the roof can be protected and the drainage respected. I pay special attention to creating structural rigidity in the joist framing for rooftop decks.
